1. COMBE MARTIN A veritable jewel. Good fishing and sheltered from SW winds.
2. ILFRACOMBE HARBOUR Sheltered natural harbour with good fishing. Beware of large yachts and deep water vessels.
3. LEE BAY Northerly sheltered bay with good high tide fishing. Beware of offshore currents.
4. WOOLACOMBE Safe paddling to Baggy Point and Morte Point. Morte Point tidal race very strong. Combined wind and swell best avoided by inexperienced paddlers.
5. CROYDE BAY Swell and tides favour traditional surfing but great paddling on flat days.
6. SAUNTON Good paddling but strong estuary flows around Crow Point (to the south).
